Brandon and Thurston fires dealt with by fire crews on one of the warmest days of the year so far

LEARN MOREFire crews have been called to two outdoor fires in quick succession as the region basks in one of the warmest days of the year.
Five fire crews from Thetford, Brandon, Mildenhall and Newmarket attended a forest fire in Brandon at around 3pm, and found an area of around 600 square metres ablaze.
The fire took an hour to bring under control.
Three fire crews were called out from Bury St Edmunds at around 4.20pm this afternoon to an area of undergrowth along Ixworth Road in Thurston spanning 100 square metres which was on fire.
The flames were eventually brought under control, with no reports of any injuries in either incident.
