Four hour fight to tackle straw stack fire near Mildenhall

Fire crews spent more than four hours last night bringing a straw stack fire under control near RAF Mildenhall.

Crews from Mildenhall and Newmarket were called to the fire off West Row Road, Mildenhall, just before midnight and reported having it under control at about 4am.

Fire fighters remained on scene damping down.

Suffolk Police said it did not affect traffic.
