Frankie Dettori and John Gosden thank NHS staff for their efforts fighting coronavirus

Frankie Dettori and John Gosden have thanked staff working in the NHS, praising their efforts fighting the coronavirus.

As well as passing on their thanks to staff on the frontline Stradivarius and dual Arc winner Enable also showed off their new sheets displaying the NHS logo inside a multi-coloured heart.

With Stradivarius, the dual Ascot Gold Cup winner, Mr Dettori thanked the health service for doing a "sterling job".

The 49-year-old jockey has also been taking part in the Equestrian Relief initiative, which aims to raise £100,000 for the NHS through an online auction and a series of challenges.

And standing alongside Enable, Mr Gosden said: "We'd like to say thank you to all in the NHS for your valiant and brave work in the face of this sinister disease. Enable is very proud of her new sheet."

The pair paid tribute to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, as well as West Suffolk Hospital and Newmarket Community Hospital, which has become a testing centre for coronavirus.
