A man has been arrested after a six hour stand-off with police at a Mildenhall home.

Suffolk Police were called at 8.45 this morning to a house in Brick Kiln Road, just off Brandon Road, in the town following reports of a man threatening to harm himself.

The 22-year-old man had initially refused to leave the property and after about six and a half hours officers arrested him on suspicion of affray and have taken him to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
