Man fights for life after Beck Row crash
A man is fighting for his life after two cars crashed in Beck Row yesterday.
At about 5.35pm police and ambulance crews were called to The Common following reports of a collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Jeep Cherokee.
Two men, both aged in their 20s, were airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, where one remains with life-threatening injuries.
The second sustained a serious but not life-threatening injury and also remains in hospital.
Another motorist, also a man in his 20s, escaped with minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
Suffolk Police closed the road as detectives investigated the cause of the crash.
A force spokesman: "Any witnesses to the collision should contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference CAD 275 of 23 June.
"Officers are particularly keen to hear from any motorists who may have dash cam footage. Witnesses can also contact PC Smyth by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org."
