Newmarket and the surrounding towns and villages have experienced their first snowfall of 2020, with heavy rain forecast to hit the town tomorrow.
Wet conditions have helped to ensure this morning's snow has not settled on roads, leading to minimal travel problems.
The Met Office did issue a yellow weather warning overnight for snow, but it ended at midday today.
Temperatures today will peak at about 5°c, before dropping to just 1°c overnight.
And on Friday there is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain from 11 o'clock, according to the Met Office.
And the heavy rain is set to continue into Saturday morning, when the Met Office predicts there will be a 80 per cent chance of rain.
