Police appeal for witnesses after lorry driver leaves scene of Barton Mills crash




Police are appealing for a witnesses of a crash in Barton Mills after a lorry driver involved in the collision drove off.

On Friday at about 4.25pm a white cab articulated HGV lorry was in collision on the southbound carriage way of the A11 with a white Peugeot Active. A black Vauxhall Corsa and blue VW Caddy were also involved.

The lorry failed to stop at the scene and continued driving.

Two children in the Peugeot sustained minor injuries and the driver of the Volkswagen suffered neck pain.

The road was closed until 6.30pm.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who can described the white HGV that failed to stop or has dash cam footage of the incident should contact police, quoting CAD reference 326 of 20 December 2019."
