Three men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Soham




Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Soham after a shooting in the early hours of the morning.

At about 1.40am today emergency services were called to Eye Hill Drove to reports a man had been shot.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, by crews from the East of England Ambulance Service with serious injuries and remains there.

Cambridgeshire Police have tonight arrested three men, aged 69, 38 and 27, and they have been taken to Parkside Police Station, in Cambridge.

Chief Supt Mark Greenhalgh said: "A team of detectives have been working throughout the day following the shooting and there has been, and continues to be, a significant police presence.

"We are treating this as an isolated incident and we believe those involved were known to each other."

Chief Sup Greenhalgh asked anybody with more information about the incident to call police on 101 quoting incident number 43 of September 5.
