The former Norwich City trainee first joined Mildenhall several seasons ago and went on to be a part of the squad that won the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division title in 2016/17 and back-to-back League Challenge Cups.

However, he moved to Bury last summer and featured on 41 occasions, helping the Blues to finish ninth in the Bostik League North Division.

Next term, though, the defender will be back wearing Mildenhall's colours after the club confirmed his return earlier today.

During his last season with Mildenhall – a campaign in which the club won the double and was promoted to Step 4 for the first time in its history – Cooper made 40 appearances.

The switch back to his hometown club comes after Jake Kerins moved in the opposite direction last week.
