Mildenhall Town striker John Sands departs the club just three months after returning
John Sands has left Mildenhall Town just three months after rejoining his boyhood club.
The striker made a name for himself during his first spell at Recreation Way as a youngster, with his clinical touch in front of goal subsequently earning him moves to the likes of Bury Town, King's Lynn Town, Canvey Island and Needham Market.
He returned to Mildenhall in the summer after several seasons away and at the time spoke of his excitement at pulling on his hometown club's shirt again.
However, after scoring four goals from his 11 appearances in all competitions this season, the two parties have decided to part company with immediate effect.
We understand that Sands has already had a number of interested parties make contact with him since news of his departure broke this evening, but he will take a bit of time to assess his options before deciding on his next club.
