EXCLUSIVE: Sands returns to Mildenhall

After several seasons away from the club, John Sands has agreed terms on a move back to Mildenhall Town.

The centre-forward was a big hit during his first stint with Mildenhall, which included scoring a then club-record 31 goals in one season, as well as finding the back of the net in successive Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup triumphs.

He has since moved on to a variety of higher-league teams, scoring goals for the likes of Bury Town, Canvey Island and Leiston.

Most recently he has been attached to Needham Market, for whom he netted seven times last season in what was a an injury-plagued campaign.

However, he will start the 2018/19 season back in Mildenhall colours following discussions with manager Dean Greygoose.
