Casey Phillips has rejoined Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division promotion contenders Mildenhall Town.

The centre-back left the newly-named Riverside Stadium in late December to return to his previous club Newmarket Town.

However, after featuring on just three occasions for the Jockeys, Phillips is back with Ricky Cornish's league leaders for the run-in.

Cornish said: "Casey has moved back to the area and he was keen to get back involved with us.

"We are very pleased to have him back. He's been with us a long time and we didn't want to lose him in the first place."

Phillips – also formerly of Haverhill Borough and Histon – made 36 appearances during his first stint with Mildenhall.
