Mildenhall Cricket Club add Naveen Gunawardana and Joe Tetley to squad for 2022 East Anglian Premier League season
Mildenhall Cricket Club have announced two new signings ahead of this year's Read Brothers Ltd East Anglian Premier League (EAPL) getting under way.
The Wamil Way-based outfit firstly confirmed the addition of Naveen Gunawardana – a spin bowler from Sri Lanka.
The 24-year-old will provide a wealth of experience from playing in his homeland, most notably for Sebastianites CAC in 2020 when he claimed 40 wickets in just six appearances – including two 10-wicket haul.
Meanwhile, Mildenhall have also added Joe Tetley to their squad.
The left-handed batsman, who has scored more than 3,000 EAPL runs, has joined from Burwell & Exning's now defunct top flight side.
The 26-year-old has First Class experience with Cambridge MCCU, as well as having made a number of appearances for Cambridgeshire.
Mildenhall begin their campaign on Saturday, April 16 when they play host to Copdock & Old Ipswichian (11am).
