The 29-year-old Essex batsman, who made five Test appearances for England last summer, top-scored with 37 runs as Mildenhall successfully chased down visiting Horsford's total of 98 with six wickets to spare at Wamil Way.

Westley hit six fours on the way to his score before being bowled by Ryan Findlay.

It ended a run of three EAPL matches without a victory for Mildenhall, who now occupy fifth position in the standings.

The outing continues Westley's solid connection with the club, for whom he has featured on more than 20 occasions down the years.
