The left-back, who was given his first chance in men's football by Soham Town Rangers, has joined the Bantams on an undisclosed fee from Leicester City.

Wood made 50 appearances for Soham during the 2013/14 campaign, during which his form earned him trials with Colchester United and Cambridge United.

He eventually joined Chesham United, from where he was picked up by the Nike Academy before moving on to Leicester.

Speaking to Bradford's website, Wood said: “I’m really excited. It feels great.

"I’m honoured to be signing for such a big club with such a great history.

“With the facilities, the backroom staff and the players they have I think I can learn a lot.

"It will be a real educational view in terms of football for me.”
