Last season's leading Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division scorer Valter Rocha joins Mildenhall Town

Mildenhall Town manager Ricky Cornish has pulled off a transfer coup this evening with the signing of Valter Rocha.

The Portuguese centre-forward was the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division's leading marksman last term, finding the net a total of 32 times from 40 appearances for Thetford Town.

He left the Brecklanders at the end of 2018/19 and after appearing on a couple of occasions for Thetford Rovers to maintain his fitness, he has now put pen to paper with Cornish's side.

"I have been after Voltz since I took over at Mildenhall (in December)," said Cornish.

"When someone like Voltz, who can enhance our already potent strikeforce, comes along then you have to sign him.

"He adds more quality to what is already an impressive squad and I cannot wait for him to get started."

Rocha is set to make his debut during Mildenhall's home encounter against Hadleigh United on Saturday (3pm).
