Premier League side Arsenal cast an eye over Tyger Smalls
Red Lodge-based Tyger Smalls has been training with Premier League giants Arsenal.
The talented teenager, who was part of the youth set-ups at two top flight clubs between the ages of nine and 12 before leaving of his own accord due to non-footballing related matters, linked up with the Gunners’ Under-23 side at their London Colney training base last week.
Since then Tyger has been working under the tutelage of the Arsenal coaching staff – including first-team manager Mikel Arteta – while on Saturday he was taken to the Emirates Stadium as a VIP for the 1-0 win over West Ham United.
The former St Christopher’s Primary School pupil is the second member of the Smalls family to have captured Arsenal’s attention, with younger sibling Magic offered a two-year academy deal in 2018.
Tyger, who plays for Saffron Walden Town, also spent time training with a professional foreign side last month and is currently the subject of interest from a plethora of clubs at home and abroad.
