Injury blow for Connor Mountain

Mildenhall Fen Tigers rider Connor Mountain is facing a stint on the sidelines with a broken vertebrae.

The youngster suffered the injury in a crash during the Fen Tigers’ 59-31 defeat away at National League leaders Birmingham Brummies last night.

Mountain was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he is now awaiting news of a potential operation.

His team-mate Danny Halsey tweeted: “Always the way when your going good. Speedy recovery bro @CMountain57.”

Earlier this month, in-form Mountain recently turned out for the Ipswich Witches in the Premier League.
