Newmarket Town complete the signing of Ryan Fleming from Brightlingsea Regent

Newmarket Town player-manager Michael Shinn has bolstered his defensive ranks with the signing of Ryan Fleming.

The defender spent the previous six seasons with Saffron Walden Town before joining Step 3 outfit Brightlingsea Regent earlier in the summer.

However, after a handful of friendly appearances for Regent, Fleming has now switched to the Tristel Stadium.

Shinn said of his latest addition: "As always it’s really important we sign the right characters, characters that can provide leadership qualities and Ryan will certainly show that."

Providing the paperwork is cleared, Fleming will be included in the Jockeys squad for tomorrow's Buildbase FA Vase tie at Sheringham.
