Paul Holley and Hannah Parsons top perform for Newmarket Joggers in Kevin Henry League

Paul Holley was the top performing member of the Newmarket Joggers during the second virtual Kevin Henry League 5K fixture earlier this month.

Holley stopped the clock in a time of 17 minutes and 20 seconds, which saw him finish 11th of 235 male runners and a sporting an age grade of 87.79 per cent.

It was also a great effort by the Joggers' Hannah Parsons, who recorded her best time this year of 21:46, to lead home the female Joggers and finish 21st of 240 female runners overall.

Holley was well supported by young Bertie Tweed (17:51, 17th), with Marc Drury (19:31, 47th), Jamie Rule (19:45, 53rd) and Stuart Sowerby (20:55, 73rd) completing the five top-scoring positions for the men.

For the women, Sarah Sales (24:21, 39th) was a welcome and surprise second-placed female Jogger. Then came Claire Acklam (24:49, 45th), with a top age-graded performance of72.93 per cent, followed by Lisa Johnson (25:03, 49th) and Francesca Laughton (25:26, 51st).

From a team perspective, the Joggers are struggling somewhat after two virtual fixtures of the Kevin Henry League, sitting 7th out of eight clubs.
