Newmarket Cricket Club’s Midweek first team ready for title battle against Foxton Granta

Newmarket Cricket Club’s Midweek first team will look to wrap up the double this evening.

The side has already added one piece of silverware to the trophy cabinet this season in the shape of the Adams Harrison Cup courtesy of a 41-run triumph at the expense of Fulbourn Institute in the final earlier this month.

And another victory tonight in the winner-takes-all clash against Foxton Granta will see Newmarket crowned champions of the Adams Harrison Midweek Cricket League Division One.

Visiting Foxton Granta will arrive at Dullingham with the advantage of being the current leaders.

However, the away team are just 10 points better off than their hosts – meaning that the championship is very much up for grabs going into the final fixture of the campaign.

The action is set to get under way at 6.30pm.
