Newmarket finish year with Counties 1 Eastern Counties victory over Ely Tigers




Newmarket finished 2024 with a 29-23 derby victory over Ely Tigers on Saturday.

The win, which was Newmarket’s ninth of the season, has kept them third in the Counties 1 Eastern Counties table going into the new year.

Newmarket will return to action on January 4 with a trip to Saffron Walden, while on the same day eighth-placed Ely will have home advantage against Ipswich.

Ipswich are currently second in the standings with a four-point advantage over Newmarket in third spot.
