Newmarket Town attacker Jose Santa de la Paz seals move to fellow North Division side Ipswich Wanderers
Newmarket Town have confirmed the departure of Jose Santa de la Paz to a fellow Isthmian League North Division club.
The attacker joined the Jockeys during the summer following spells with the likes of Needham Market, Bury Town, Stanway Rovers and Brantham Athletic.
He has since scored four goals from 17 appearances in a Newmarket shirt, but the forward has now accepted an offer to join Ipswich Wanderers.
De La Paz, who featured twice against new club in the FA Cup this season, has become the first signing of the Michael Brothers era at Wanderers.
Brothers was confirmed as the new boss at Humber Doucy Lane on Monday following the recent exit of Glen Driver.
De La Paz could make his debut for bottom-of-the-table Wanderers tomorrow when they travel to face 12th-placed Redbridge. Newmarket, meanwhile, will also be away from home at Walthamstow.
After beating neighbouring Cambridge City 4-2 on Tuesday evening, Newmarket are 20th in the table, four points better off than Wanderers.
