Soham's Brett Claydon has earned himself a PDC Tour Card for the first time.

Claydon, who has previously played football for Newmarket Town and Soham Town Rangers, had to come through seven days of action – split over two different weeks – in Milton Keynes to claim one of the 13 Q-School Order of Merit places available.

He finished in joint 11th alongside Steve Brown, having racked up five points and a total of 44 legs.

The Tour Cards are granted each year to a total of 128 players, which allows them to participate in all Players Championships and UK Open qualifiers.

Claydon previously spoke to Suffolk News back in 2019 after he had won the BDO British Gold Cup Men’s Pairs title alongside Curtis Hammond.
