Soham Town Rangers' squad for next season starts to take shape with six players re-signing and a new addition

Six of last season's squad have committed to Soham Town Rangers for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign – with the club also announcing a new signing.

Manager Robbie Mason and his assistant Erkan Okay will once again combine their duties in the dugout with playing, while winger Declan Rogers has agreed to remain at Julius Martin Lane.

Defenders Lee Chaffey and Cameron Watson have also put pen to paper, as has attacker Jake Andrews.

Meanwhile, Warren McSkelly has become the Greens' first new addition of the summer.

The 21-year-old left-back has arrived at Soham from Huntington Town, having previously played for Bourne Town, Deeping Rangers and Sileby Rangers.

It's positive news for the club following the recent departures of Sam Mulready and Josh Pope to Dereham Town and Mildenhall Town respectively, while boss Mason has conceded that other members of last term's squad may also leave after the club's lateral league switch as part of the FA's restructure of non-league football.

Soham begin their pre-season friendly campaign this evening with a trip to Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Lakenheath (7.45pm).
