Teddy keeps up top form
Teddy Hall has been in impressive form of late, and the youngster continued in that vein at the Gog Magog Junior Open last week.
The Links member hit a level par 70 to win on count-back with a round that included two eagles on the par five 8th and 14th holes.
“It was a big win because there were some great players in the field,” said the 14-year-old.
“I was pleased to get the eagles because they were on tough holes.
“Golf is a lot different to other sports and I like being in control of my own result.
“I will keep practicing to improve, but it is going really well at the moment.”
The Bottisham Village College student was also in action at the weekend in the three-day British Junior Golf Tour event at Lindfield.
Not being familiar with the course, Hall struggled to adapt on the first day and that ultimately ended his chances of winning.
However, he recovered on day two to hit a 77 (third best on the day) and followed that up with a 73 on the final day, which was second best, one shot behind the winner.
Dad Steve commented: “It took him time to get his head around the course but he got a lot better as he went on.”
