LEARN MORENewmarket Town player-manager Michael Shinn has pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of Ben Robinson from higher-league Cambridge City.
The right-back has been a near ever present for the Lilywhites since his arrival just over two years ago, having previously been a key figure in AFC Sudbury's Isthmian League Division One North title-winning success of 2015/16.
Robinson – also a former Haverhill Rovers player – made a total of 118 appearances for Sudbury, as well as also chalking up three figures for City.
However, he will now begin a new chapter with Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division outfit Newmarket, where he will be reunited with Shinn and goalkeeper Alex Archer from their time together at Haverhill.
Robinson could make his Jockeys debut away at Norwich United on Saturday (3pm).
