Trading card and collectables shop Binderly opens doors in Soham High Street to delight of Ely co-owners

The co-owner of a trading card and collectables shop said it feels amazing to open their first shop in a town high street.

Binderly welcomed customers to its store at 28 High Street, Soham, with a grand opening on June 28.

Co-owners Nathaniel Mahoney and James Stevens, who are both 32 and live in Ely, were overwhelmed with the positive response they received.

Nathaniel said: “From trades to sales to amazing conversations, the support, both local and beyond, truly blew us away.

“We’re feeling incredibly grateful and excited for what’s ahead.”

Since Nathaniel set up Binderly three years ago, it has been an online business with a heavy influence on live streaming and card shows up and down the UK.

On its website, it describes itself as the ultimate destination for all things, gaming, collectables and more.

A variety of products are on offer to customers including items relating to Pokemon, Disney, Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh, sports and plenty more.

Nathaniel hopes the store will be the first of five shops to come in the future and is very happy with the latest step in Binderly’s journey.

“It feels amazing, it’s such an achievement, personally,” he said.

“I’ve gone from late nights at an office at the end of my garden to card shows all over the UK to now having this first store.

Nathaniel added: “A huge amount of our customer base is based in east Cambridgeshire.

“There is a toy shop and board game shop in Ely already. The shop is also situated in between two schools so it was a no-brainer to come here.”
