Men accused of Soham shooting set to appear in Cambridge Crown Court tomorrow to give a plea

Two men accused of trying to kill a 32 year old just outside of Soham are set to appear before a crown court judge tomorrow.

Craig Garrod, 26, of Hill Drove, and Wayne Bonus, 38, of Sand Street, have both been charged with attempted murder and will appear at Cambridge Crown Court tomorrow.

They are accused of shooting Ben Davis, 32, in the torso in Eye Hill Drove, near Barcham Trees, in the early hours of September 5.

Kevin Thompson, 39, of Eastern Avenue, is accused of assisting an offender by hiding a shotgun and will also appear at the court, where the trio will be expected to make a plea.

At their initial appearance at Peterborough Magistrates' Court last month the three men spoke to confirm their name, age and address.

District Judge Mark Studdert remanded Garrod and Bonus in custody. Thompson was released on conditional bail.
