Soham: Londis shop front destroyed after ram raid with ATM stolen
A road has been closed after a shop front in a town was destroyed in a ram raid.
Police are currently at the scene of the incident in Hall Street, Soham, after a member of the public called in at about 2am today reporting that a group of people were using a JCB teleporter to smash into the front of a Londis store.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said the group left with an ATM on a flatbed van which has since been recovered.
Officers remain in the area and a scene is in place to preserve evidence with investigations ongoing.
On social media, police confirmed the road would remain closed for the foreseeable future.
