The Plough at Wangford, run by Adnams, set to reopen after new tenants found
A pub is set to reopen after it shut its doors over a month ago due to spiralling costs and staff shortages.
Adnams has announced that new tenants have been found for The Plough at Wangford, near Southwold and Beccles.
The venue has been closed since October 2, when staff were offered alternative employment in other Adnams properties or businesses.
A spokesperson for the brewery said: “Adnams is very pleased to be able to share that we do now have new tenants identified for The Plough.
“While we are not able to confirm a reopening date at the current time, we very much hope to be welcoming customers in time for Christmas.”
In the meantime, Adnams has directed customers to its nearby pubs including The White Hart in Blythburgh or The Five Bells at Wrentham.
