Emergency response after man falls overboard off Southwold

A man is reported to have fallen overboard off a ship near Southwold this morning, prompting an emergency response.
A spokesperson for His Majesty’s Coastguard said lifeboats were deployed from Lowestoft, Harwich and Aldeburgh around 10.30am.
They also stated the Dutch Coastguard was assisting.
As of 5pm, aircraft have also been deployed by both HM Coastguard and the Netherlands Coastguard to assist with the response, as have all-weather lifeboats from Walton and Gorleston.
