Reydon Cottage is Grade II listed for special architectural and historic interest and is believed to date back from the 1700s, before it was substantially remodelled and enlarged in the 1830s.

The house still retains many period features throughout including a Gault brick façade and sash windows.

When previously marketed in 1851, The Times described it as one of the most 'delightfully situated freehold cottage in the county', particularly noting its proximity to 'the fashionable watering-hole Southwold'.

Property agent Alexander McNab said: "Reydon Cottage is a delightful and very attractive Georgian fronted house.

"I especially love the wonderful gardens and fabulous outbuildings. The coach house, one of the two annexes, is particularly impressive."

The attractive period house sits in grounds of about two thirds of an acre (0.62), with great gardens and two annexes.

Reydon Cottage has been comprehensively restored, renovated and remodelled to create a comfortable family home comprising well-proportioned rooms balancing period charm with modern practicalities.

The L-shaped kitchen and reception room is a useful space and the reception room has a dining area and cosy sitting area around an interesting, mahogany chimneypiece.

Off of this reception room is a much-loved conservatory, with red and white grape vines, while both the drawing room and sitting room are very well proportioned.

The first floor accommodation consists of all five bedrooms, the family bathroom and a further lavatory.

There is also a coach house which is currently used as a successful holiday let. It comprises an open plan kitchen/living space on the ground floor and a charming bedroom and bathroom on the first floor.

French windows then open out to a courtyard and with further windows, flood the house with natural light.

The other annexe is used as a studio and can also make a study or home office, with its own kitchen; the first floor has a further bedroom and bathroom.
