A Suffolk beach has been ranked as among the most relaxing in the UK.
Research by SpaSeekers.com listed Denes Beach, in Southwold, as the third most relaxing beach in the nation.
The study counted the number of times the word ‘relaxing’ was mentioned in online travel reviews of each destination.
Of the Denes Beach reviews, 6.6 per cent labelled it as relaxing.
The only other beaches in the UK which ranked higher on it were Frinton-on-Sea Beach, in Essex and Meadfoot Beach, in Torquay.
The research analysed beaches across the globe, compiling the top 50 most relaxing beaches in the world.
No British destinations ranked in the top 50.
The research listed Little French Key, in Honduras, as the most relaxing beach in the world.
The highest ranked European beach was Nautholsvik Geothermal Beach, in Iceland, which came in third.
