It is not the first time it has been ranked amongst the best in the UK, with TripAdvisor listing it as one to the top venues in the country for a date night.

Owned by Andy and Kinga Rudd, Sutherland House is an adult only restaurant that specialises in seafood and plant-based dishes.

The menu consists of starters such as seared scallops and pan roasted asparagus, whilst for mains guests can enjoy dishes such as pan roasted hake, slow roasted pork belly or carrot and apricot falafel.

Sutherland House also operates as a hotel, with rooms ‘of a generous size’ in a ‘boutique, amazing building.’

Across the county’s borders, Midsummer House in Cambridge made the cut, whilst in Norfolk Delia’s Restaurant and Bar and The Assembly House, both in Norwich, were listed.

Michel Roux Jr’s Le Gavroche, which will close its doors in January, and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay are some amongst the high profile London venues that made OpenTable’s cut.
