Suspected drug dealer has car seized in Leiston

Police seized the car of a suspected drug dealer in Leiston earlier this week.

Officers were patrolling the town on Wednesday when they came across someone driving without a licence.

Upon further inspection, it was found that the driver also had no insurance before officers suspected he may have been on drugs while behind the wheel.

A roadside drug test showed traces of cocaine in the man’s system and he was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

After this, officers searched the man’s car and found a stash of both crack and powder cocaine as well as cash before arresting him again, on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

His vehicle was also seized.
