Halesworth Town Council launches public consultation over plans for new community hub

Halesworth Town Council is consulting residents and businesses over proposals for a new community hub.

The planned facility would be located in Saxons Way.

As well as assessing what new services could be included with the hub, the consultation currently underway seeks to understand what facilities are already present in the local area, and how the hub could support their activities.

The proposed site has already been allocated for a community hub as part of the East Suffolk Local Plan.

Halesworth councillor Keith Greenberg said: “This is a rare opportunity to provide a clear focal point for a range of activities and services for Halesworth, serving the town and surrounding areas.

“We are hoping it will provide a versatile space for a range of uses and users, including the delivery of local services.

“Please fill in the residents’ or business survey and tell us what you think is needed.”
