Two people taken to James Paget hospital after crash in Dunwich Road, near Blythburgh, where car went into hedge





Two people have been taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a hedge near an East Suffolk village.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue dispatched two vehicles from Wrentham and Halesworth to the incident in Dunwich Road, near Blythburgh, at 6.20am.

One person was able to dislodge themselves from the vehicle, however crews had to cut off the roof of the car to remove the other.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.10am to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Dunwich Road in Blythburgh.

“An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.

“Two adult men were transported to the James Paget Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Police confirmed that recovery had attended for the vehicle and the road had reopened by 9.36am.
