Southwold robbery on Mights Bridge sees wristwatch stolen from man in 70s after woman tries to kiss him
A Rolex wristwatch was stolen from a man in his 70s after a woman, asking for directions, took hold of his hand and tried to kiss him.
The incident in Southwold was on Sunday, June 25 on Mights Bridge between noon and 1.30pm.
The victim, a man in his 70s, was approached by the woman who asked for directions to somewhere in the town.
During the encounter she took hold of the victim’s hand and tried to kiss them, before being told to go away.
Sometime later, the victim noticed that his gold/ 7 silver Rolex wristwatch was no longer on the wrist that the suspect had taken hold of.
The woman was described by the victim as white, approximately 5ft, 2 inches tall, aged between 20 and 30, wearing all black, with a headscarf and as having a hunched posture.
Lowestoft CID want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time, who may have been driving over Mights Bridge and who possesses dash camera footage of the incident, or who may hold information that assists in identifying the suspect. Quote crime reference number 37/36967/23.
