A14 westbound closed between Stowmarket and Woolpit after serious crash




A stretch of the A14 is currently closed while emergency services deal with the aftermath of a serious crash.

The westbound carriageway is closed between junctions 49 at Stowmarket and 47 at Woolpit due to a 'serious incident' near Haughley.

Suffolk Police are in attendance along with other emergency services and Highways England.

Drivers have been told to expect delays and according to the AA route planner, traffic is 'very slow' in the area.

A diversion route is in place via the A140 and A143.

It is unclear how many vehicles are involved and if anyone is injured.
