A14 westbound between junction 47, near Woolpit, and junction 45, near Blackthorpe, sees major delays due to flooding

There are currently major delays on the A14 westbound as a result of flooding.

One lane of the major route between junction 47, near Woolpit, and junction 45, near Blackthorpe, has been closed due to heavy rainfall in the area.

This is just on the approach to the roadworks near Stowmarket.

According to the National Highways, drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes, with approximately two miles of tailbacks.

Contraflow is currently in place.
