Stowmarket shop Handy Hardware in Ipswich Street announces closure
A town centre hardware shop is closing its doors after six years of business.
Handy Hardware in Ipswich Street, Stowmarket, sold a range of DIY products and homeware.
In a post to social media, the owner announced they are moving away to follow their dream.
The post said: “We would like say a big thank you to all our lovely customers who have supported us in the last few years, but all good things come to an end.
“I have decided to follow my dream and will be moving home, away from the area.”
Handy Hardware, which opened in 2018, has launched a closing down sale today.
The face of Ipswich Street is continuing to change as it was recently announced that Mind is opening a charity shop in the former Shoezone unit.
Other high street shops which closed in the last few years include M&Co, Cancer Research UK and Halifax.
