Suffolk Witchcraft Market attracts hundreds to Blackbourne Community Centre, Elmsewell, between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket
A spellbinding time was had by all who attended magical market for its second event over the weekend.
Featuring crafts, workshops, talks a popular café and more, Suffolk Witchcraft Market summoned more than 550 people to Blackbourne Community Centre, in Elmswell, on Saturday.
Emma Theobald, organiser, conjured up the event earlier this year to offer a family friendly environment for anyone with an an ‘alternative’ mindset.
Stalls stocked a range of items, including incense, stained glass, oracle cards, candles, dried flowers, singing bowls and more while talks covered a variety of topics including spellcraft and ghosts.
Emma hoped events like this would dispel illusions people had about witchcraft, paganism or druidry.
Emma said: “The event went really well, the number of people that came exceeded any hopes we had.
“People enjoyed being able to meet and mingle with like minded people.
“There are not that many events like this in the area, and not that many ways for people with an alternative mindset to spend time together.”
Suffolk Witchcraft Market returns to Elmswell on December 7 – which Emma promised would be bigger and better.
The first market was held in Coddenham on May 17 and was an instant hit.
A further three events are planned for next year, on February 22, August 2 and October 4.
