Reports of flooding on roads in Stowmarket, Needham Market, Haughley and Great Cornard areas
Multiple roads across Suffolk have been hit with flooding following heavy rain.
SuffolkNews has compiled a list of roads reportedly affected by floodwater.
A flood alert has been issued for the River Deben from Debenham, to and including Bromeswell, and the River Lark from Clopton to Martlesham.
Roads reportedly impacted are:
- The A1120 near Stowmarket Tesco with traffic queuing up to the A14 roundabout.
- Tree across the road and flooding between Grace Farrant Road and Upper Tye in Great Cornard.
- Low Road just before Mickfield.
- Haugh Lane / Station Road towards Haughely.
- Badley Hill near Needham Market.
- Lorraine Way and Walnut Tree Close in Bramford.
- Somersham Road both ways from Leather Bottle Hill to Lower Road in Somersham.
- Gipping Road both ways from B1113 Bramford Road to Chapel Lane in Great Blakenham.
- The Street both ways from Hinderclay Road to Garden House Lane in Botesdale.
Yesterday, in Beck Row, near Mildenhall, flooding was reported in Barleycorn Way, Aspal Lane, Lamble Close and along The Street outside the King’s Head pub.
Henry Street in Debenham, near Stowmarket, was flooded.
Another submerged road was the B1078 Needham Road, at the junction with the A140, near Needham Market, which was closed.
Videos were also shared online showing flooding in Violet Hill Road, Stowmarket, and on the industrial estate in Needham Market, near Sackers.
