Candidates announced for Mid Suffolk by-election following resignation of Cllr Austin Davies

Candidates have been announced for a local by-election following the resignation of a councillor.

Last week, a Mid Suffolk by-election was triggered following Cllr Austin Davies’ resignation.

He had represented Thurston since February 2022 but announced he would step down from Mid Suffolk Council as he was moving out of the area.

The candidates for the ward are:

Oscar Barrick-Cook (Green Party)

Nathan Hope (Labour Party)

Harry Richardson (Conservative Party)

Voting will take place on Tuesday, September 24 between 7 am and 10 pm.
