Cyclist in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after A1120 incident in Stowupland, near Stowmarket




A cyclist in his 40s has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after an incident on a busy road.

Police were called at 11.15pm on Friday after a man was discovered to have fallen off his bicycle on the A1120 in Stowupland, near Stowmarket.

Ambulance crews were also called and the cyclist was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

His injuries are described as potentially life-changing.

Officers are working to establish whether any other vehicles may have been involved and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Motorists who were in the area at the time and have dashcam footage are also being asked to review it for any information that could help the investigation.
