StowFest, formerly StowFiesta, to return to Chilton Fields in Stowmarket
A town’s popular festival is set to return with a new name but the same community spirit.
StowFest, formerly StowFiesta, will take place on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25 at Chilton Fields in Stowmarket — offering two days of free, family-friendly entertainment.
Organised by Stowmarket Town Council, the event will run from 1.30pm to 8.30pm on both days with live performances from acts including The High Points, PRTY, The Honkus Rompus and The MultiTones. The full line-up can be found on the StowFest Facebook page.
Children’s activities will include a giant inflatable human football table, climbing walls, face painting, rugby practice and more.
Festival-goers will be able to browse a range of stalls from local traders and charities selling everything from handmade crafts and jewellery to sweets and unique gifts.
Food and drink will also be on offer with Stowmarket Rugby Club running a bar throughout the weekend serving beer, gin Pimm’s and more.
The Regal will be on hand with offering slushies and a variety of vendors will serve up burgers, burritos, loaded fries, pancakes and ice cream.
Event organiser Archie Merritt said: “Everybody at Stowmarket Town Council is excited to once again be kicking off this year’s events calendar with StowFest.
“Local people can look forward to non-stop multi-genre live musical entertainment, an excellent variety of food choices and stalls to browse, along with some new and exciting free children’s activities — we hope to see you all there.”
Stowmarket Town Council is thanking the event’s sponsors: Morar Living, Gipping Press, Kicks and Tricks and the main sponsor Brightside Wealth Management.
