The Shack in The Maltings, Stowmarket, to shut after four months

A family-friendly restaurant in Stowmarket thanked customers as it announced it would shut.

Marc Rogers, the owner of The Shack in The Maltings, has revealed October would be its final month of trading.

He opened the business at the start of July after his previous eatery, The Angel in Needham Market closed as the building was unfit for use.

He was inspired to start the business as he felt the area needed a food venue that would be exciting to his two young daughters.

Marc said: “It's with a heavy heart I have to inform you that October will be the last month of The Shack.

“Thank you all so much for your continued support and well wishes.”

However, he urged customers not to worry, as he has plans for the future.

Marc added: “Don't worry though, there is some great news to hopefully bring you soon, and to keep me busy we have a couple of pop-up tapas nights at Needham Market Community Centre starting from November 25.”
