Fire crews tackle blaze in bungalow and garage on Creeting St Mary's St Marys Gardens after it spreads from car




A fire which started in a car spread to a garage and a bungalow in a Suffolk village this afternoon.

Nine fire crews tackled the blaze in Creeting St Mary, which was reported at about 1pm.

According to Suffolk's fire and rescue service's incident log, crews were at the scene of the blaze in St Marys Gardens until at least 4.10pm.

A spokesman said: "The fire started in a car, then that moved to a detached garage and a detached bungalow."

While it was initially feared that people were in the property at the time of the fire, all have been accounted for, the spokesman added.

Police and ambulance crews were also alerted to the incident.
