Early hours fire at home in Wood View, off Fishponds Way, Haughley, near Stowmarket, leaves heavy smoke billowing through property

Heavy smoke billowed through a village home after a blaze in the early hours, leaving one person requiring ambulance care.

The fire service was alerted to the incident in Wood View, off Fishponds Way, Haughley, near Stowmarket, at 1.40am today.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene.

A woman was left requiring treatment for the effects of breathing in smoke.

It is not known what caused the fire.

The incident was dealt with by 4.31am
